Preparing for the future

The Federal Budget, recently announced by the Treasurer, Mr Wayne Swan, was designed with Australia’s future firmly in mind. It is notable for the amount of spending on projects aimed at preparing us for when the world economies come out of recession.

The size of the deficit and borrowings are unprecedented but the Government was in a tough position considering the anticipated drop in revenues. No matter how successful or otherwise this strategy is, there will be an impact on Australia’s future.

The future as we age

The future should be a major consideration as we age. Australia has an aging population and we discuss the issues that must be considered when you or a relative needs to move to an aged living complex such as a retirement village or nursing home.
