Things change... and sometimes quickly

It seems that every day we are hit with more conflicting media reports on the shape of the world and Australian economies. One minute we are told that our economy needs to “cool down” and the $A will have parity with the $US, then we have inflationary pressures and the $A heads in the other direction.

Not only do we have to prepare for changes in the economic environment, but along comes a new generation who have very different ideas (or do they?) to their parents in terms of career and life expectations.

We recently presented two events that addressed the issues of change and how we need to prepare for its inevitability. David Robertson, Head of Financial Markets for the Bendigo Bank, told our Annual Economic Update audience that when investing, a long term view is essential. At our Business Week luncheon, Tania Hannath of PeopleAxis explained the importance of developing quality leaders and engaging your team in effective ways.

Tackle the issues

Our interactive workshop with Tania on Tuesday 30 September will give you the chance to tackle the real issues of employing Gen Y and how to become an Employer of Choice. It will build on key strategies giving you practical applications for your organisation. See our web site for more details and to book. Places will be strictly limited.
